Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of products from Fable Pets ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order on fablepets.co.uk, you ("you", "the customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully before placing an order. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with your purchase.

2. Our Contract with You

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. A contract between you and us is formed only when:
  1. We send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched; or
  2. We confirm acceptance of your order in writing.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including (but not limited to) cases of:
  • Product unavailability
  • Pricing or listing errors
  • Suspected fraud
  • Failure to meet payment verification requirements
If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, we will refund the full amount without undue delay.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable
  • Delivery charges will be clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm your order
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice; however, the price shown at the time you place your order will be honoured
  • Payment must be completed in full at checkout
  • We accept the payment methods listed on our Payment & Billing Options page
  • All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party providers — we never store your full card details

4. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate. However:
  • Images are for illustrative purposes and colours may vary slightly depending on your screen
  • Minor variations in product appearance may occur
If there is a significant error in a product listing, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.

5. Delivery

  • Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days of payment confirmation
  • Delivery times depend on the shipping option selected at checkout:
    • Economy Shipping: 5 to 8 business days (Free)
    • Standard Shipping: 3 to 4 business days (£15)
  • Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by factors beyond our control
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery of the products to the address provided at checkout

6. Returns and Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You have the right to request a return within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection laws.

7. Statutory Consumer Rights

Under UK law, you have certain rights in relation to your purchase, including:
  • Short-term right to reject: If the products are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have 30 days from delivery to reject them and receive a full refund
  • Right to repair or replacement: If a fault appears within the first 6 months, we will repair or replace the products at no cost to you, unless a repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate
  • Digital content: If your purchase includes digital content, you have the right to have faulty digital content repaired or replaced
These statutory rights are in addition to, and not affected by, our returns policy.

8. Cancellation Rights (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your products without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To exercise this right, please notify us in writing at contact@fablepets.co.uk. You must return the products within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. We will refund the full purchase price, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned products (or proof of return).
Exceptions: The right to cancel does not apply to:
  • Personalised or custom-made products
  • Sealed goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, once unsealed
  • Perishable goods

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:
  • Our total liability arising from or in connection with your order shall not exceed the purchase price of the products concerned
  • We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, wars, supplier failures, courier disruptions, or government restrictions.

11. Data Protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Sale from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order. Any changes will be published on this page.
